The Original
The Focke-Wulf FW 190 is a German fighter aircraft from the 2nd World War and was developed in Bremen under the direction of chief designer Kurt Tank. Starting in 1941, the machine, which was also called "Würger", was put into service by the German Luftwaffe as the second standard fighter aircraft alongside the Messerschmitt BF 109.
The Fucke-Wulf FW 190 was not only used as a fighter plane, but also used as reconnaissance aircraft, fighter-bombers, night fighters and ground attack aircraft. Most of the Focke-Wulf FW 190 used an air-cooled 14-cylinder double-star BMW 801 engine. Later versions used a liquid-cooled twelve-cylinder V-engine to achieve better altitude performance.
In the Focke-Wulf FW 190 with the addition A8, the MW-50 system was used for the short-term performance increase of the engine. For this purpose, the aircraft was equipped with an additional tank (115 liters) behind the pilot's seat, which could accommodate a methanol-water mixture or was simply used as an additional tank. The characteristics of the aircraft had to be changed, for example, the pilot's oxygen bottles were moved backwards and placed around the new tank.
A striking feature of the Focke-Wulf FW 190 A-8 is the access panel on the underside of the fuselage just behind the wings.
By the end of the war, around 19500 Focke-Wulf FW190 were produced.
The Model

Furthermore, a Lexan canopy is included. Last but not least, you will receive a detailed, printed construction plan on a 1:1 scale.
The model is designed so that you can easily use some of the most popular engines on the market. On the attached pictures you can see which engines fit the model and what the installation situation looks like.
This kit is made especially for you after order, so the delivery time is about 4-6 weeks after payment. The kit will then get your name engraved, so your new model is unique.
