The Original
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a German World War II fighter aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt and Robert Lusser during the early to mid 1930 s. It was one of the first true modern fighters of the era, including such features as an all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, a retractable landing gear, and was powered by liquid-cooled, inverted-V12 aero engine. The 109 first saw operational service during the Spanish Civil War and was still in service at the dawn of the jet age at the end of World War II, during which time it was the backbone of the Luftwaffe's fighter force. From the end of 1941 the Bf 109 was supplemented whit the Focke-Wulf Fw 190.
The Model
In the kit you will find high quality laser cut poplar plywood parts for the fuselage, the wings and the elevator. Also included are Super Scale fibreglass parts, such as cowl, rudders, canopy frame, gun bubble, air intakes for the radiators under the wing and an air intake for the supercharger. In addition, the exhaust covers, gun niches for the cowl and three types of small bubbles also made of fiberglass. Last but not least, you will receive a detailed, printed construction plan on a 1:1 scale.
The model is designed so that you can easily use some of the most popular engines on the market. On the attached pictures you can see which engines fit the model and what the installation situation looks like.
This kit is made especially for you after order, so the delivery time is about 4-6 weeks after payment. The kit will then get your name engraved, so your new model is unique.
The model will then be shipped directly from FokkeRC based in Bulgaria to your specified delivery address.
